Description

We are looking for a reliable Administrative Dispatcher to act as a communication point for emergency and non-emergency calls. The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator and able to remain calm and composed, especially in emergency and demanding situations. You must be able to multi-task as well as take the appropriate action with little supervision. The goal is to enable different parties to communicate well by ensuring the accurate and timely transmission of information.

Responsibilities:

• Receive emergency and non-emergency requests for ambulance service

• Transmitting orders to suitable response units

• Coordinates response & recovery for recalcitrant situations

• Scheduling & quality control

• Multi-tasking in a fast paced trying, office setting

• Communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Resource Management
• Working independently without direct supervision to accomplish goals

Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance
Use radio, phone or computer to send crews, vehicles or other field units to appropriate locations
Monitor the route and status of field units to coordinate and prioritize their schedule

  Provide field units with information about orders, traffic, obstacles and requirements
 

Requirements:

• Experience in Microsoft Office
• Ability to type at least 40 wpm.
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable transportation
• A positive attitude and willingness for continual learning
• Ability to multi-task and function effectively in a team environment
Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
Active listener with excellent communication skills

Sound judgment and critical thinking
• Possess Integrity, Honesty

• Self-Motivated, flexible, assertive
•  At least 1 year experience in fast-paced working environment
